9300nm CO2 Laser Experiences in the Dental Setting: An ACDE Series Webinar
Course Description
This course will summarize the physical properties and clinical experiences available to dental practitioners using a 9300nm CO2 laser.
Course Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand Physical properties of the 9300nm CO2 laser that make it unique for hard and soft tissue applications
- Gain knowledge of Soft tissue applications – troughing, gingivectomy, implant uncovery
- Gain knowledge of Hard tissue applications – Class I – V operative preparations

Gregory M. Schuster, D.D.S., Associate Professor and Director of Clinical Faculty, College of Dental Medicine – Arizona

Dr. Schuster received his B.S. degree in chemistry from Pacific Lutheran University in 1988 and earned his D.D.S. degree from the University of Washington in 1992, with special recognition in fixed prosthodontics from the Department of Restorative Dentistry. After graduation, he taught dental assisting part-time at Bates Technical College in Tacoma, WA and co-authored “Handbook of Clinical Dental Assisting.” He maintained a private practice in Sumner, WA from 1993-2000 until he moved to Bozeman, MT and started a private practice there. He was a member of “Blue Ribbon Seminars”, a Seattle Study Club affiliate and had a special interest in implant restorations. In May of 2011, Dr. Schuster joined the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor and maintains active memberships in the American Dental Association and the American Dental Education Association. Dr. Schuster is now the Director of Clinical Faculty in the College of Dental Medicine.
Robert Yasso, D.M.D., Adjunct Instructor, College of Dental Medicine – Arizona

Dr. Yasso received his B.S. degree in biochemistry from Oakland University in 2016 and earned his D.M.D. degree from Midwestern University-College of Dental Medicine – Arizona in 2020. Dr. Yasso was one of the first dental students to perform dental fillings, completely anesthesia-free, using Solea CO2 laser. Dr. Yasso received the Dean’s Outstanding Clinician Award and the Digital Dentistry Award for becoming proficient in the use of the most current digital technology. After graduation, Dr. Yasso joined the Midwestern University-CDMA as an adjunct faculty to mentor D3 and D4 students on the use of the Solea laser in clinic.
