Description

This course explores the fundamentals of digital dentistry, highlighting its advantages over conventional methods. It provides an overview of the essential tools and technologies needed for digital workflows, covering various approaches used in clinical and laboratory settings. Additionally, the course will showcase research conducted at the University of Florida’s Digital Center, demonstrating the impact of digital solutions on patient care and dental education.


Objectives

1. Understand the Advantages of Digital Dentistry – Compare digital and conventional approaches, focusing on efficiency, accuracy, and patient outcomes.

2. Explore Digital Dentistry Workflows – Learn about key technologies, including CAD/CAM, 3D printing, and intraoral scanning, with examples of different workflows.

3. Analyze Research in Digital Dentistry – Review recent findings from our center, demonstrating innovations and clinical applications in the field.
