Common Pitfalls in Aligner Therapy

Course Description:

This course will provide dental clinicians an overview of aligner therapy with specific focus on
common problems that occur with aligner therapy including biomechanics, case selection and techniques to reduce common pitfalls.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand proper case selection for aligner therapy
  2. Describe reliable movements that can be achieved with aligner therapy
  3. Understand common problems that occur with aligners and techniques to reduce them.

Meet the Speaker: Dr. Christine O’Hea

Dr. Christine O’Hea is an assistant professor in the Department of Orthodontics at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. She earned her DMD at the University of Pennsylvania (1996) and her certificate in Orthodontics/Masters in Dental Science from the University of Connecticut (1999). Prior to joining Columbia in 2019, she was in private practice in New Jersey for 20 years. She has been treating patients with aligner therapy for over 20 years and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

A 50% refund will be issued to registrants who cancel 48-24 hours before the course starting date/time. No refunds will be issued for registrants who does not login to the webinar or who cancels within 24 hours of the course starting date/time. Participants may phone the Continuing Education office to cancel, but a written request which includes the name and phone number of the person who paid for the course must be received by our office before a refund can be processed.
