Florida ADEX Board Exam Preparatory Course

Description

This 2.5-day hands-on, intensive didactic and clinical course is designed to prepare out-of-state licensed dentists (candidates) for the clinical sections (endodontic, prosthodontic, periodontal, and restorative) of the ADEX examination required for licensure in the state of Florida. Successful candidates will arrive at the course already familiar with the examination and having read all three ADEX manuals available online (www.cdcaexams.org).

An online lecture study guide for the Florida Laws and Rules examination is included in your registration. This course provides no instruction for the Diagnostic Skills Evaluation OSCE, which is also required for licensure in the state of Florida. Separate registration for the ADEX exam is done by the candidate prior to the course and at the candidate’s expense.

The course will include didactic review lectures for all clinical sections, as well as clinical practice and a “mock” ADEX exam, during which candidates will use the same UFCD facilities they will use for the ADEX exam. The course is taught by UFCD Faculty with decades of combined experience preparing candidates for the ADEX exam.

Candidates in the course will be provided with all instruments and materials necessary to challenge the ADEX exam. A complete list of materials and instruments provided will be sent prior to the course. Please feel free to bring anything extra that you feel more comfortable using (e.g. different composite, specialized burs, specific gloves, etc).

Objectives

  • Provide didactic and clinical review and practice of the procedures necessary to pass the clinical sections of the ADEX examination.
  • Provide all instruments and materials necessary to pass the clinical sections of the ADEX examination.
