Description

Dermal Fillers Level II: Advanced Applications – This one-day course (8 Contact hours) will focus on building on fundamentals, advanced techniques and incorporating new products. Treatments learned include the mid face, pre-periosteal injections, advanced lip augmentation and the use of cannulas.

Hands-on Workshop

In the hands-on workshop, you will have the opportunity to diagnose, map and treat a model patient with one-on-one mentored instruction. Upon completion of the program, you will have the confidence and skills to begin implementing dermal filler treatments into your dental practice.


Objectives

  • Patient assessment and consultation
  • In-depth review of facial anatomy and injection techniques to ensure treatments are safe and effective
  • Expanded dermal filler portfolio and rationale for product cho1
  • Advanced injection techniques such as cross-hatching, scaffolding, 3D-vectoring and pre-periosteal injections
  • Layering products and combination therapy with neuromodulators for optimal results
  • Principles of staged facial sculpting
  • Risks, complications, and contraindications of dermal fillers and how to manage them
  • Appropriate fee structure and how to incorporate dermal fillers into dental treatment plans
  • Customizable documentation templates
  • Diagnose and treat model patients with one-on-one instruction

Pre-requisite: Must have taken Level ONE or an equivalent course.

Participant to provide their own patient for injection lab on course day

Meet our speaker

Tracy Shaw Blessing, DMD

Tracy Shaw Blessing, DMD is a cosmetic and restorative dentist at The Shaw Center for Dental Excellence in Miami Beach, Florida. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and then completed her dental training at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine followed by a general practice residency in New York City.

Dr. Blessing (Shaw) has always been passionate about facial aesthetics as shown by her work pioneering the incorporation of facial injectable treatments into the modern dental practice since 2010. She has mastered advanced injectable techniques and developed her own that she teaches across the country for the treatment of lip augmentation, facial muscular rebalancing, and the correction of gummy smiles. Dr. Blessing (Shaw) blends her cosmetic and reconstructive dental training with the use of facial injectable to offer patients a new concept of "Total Facial Aesthetics." An expert in the Art and Science of Injectables, the goal of treatment is always subtle but impactful facial rejuvenation to further enhance dental aesthetics.

IMPORTANT COURSE NOTES:

  • Prior to the course, the participant must submit a copy of completed UF HIPAA
  • Participant must supply their own patient for the hands-on lab (light continental breakfast provided)
    • Prior to the course, the PATIENT must complete and submit a copy of an Authorization Form
