Dentist and Team Learning Opportunity Policy

Dental Team $99 fee Policy

Purpose of the Dental Team Rate

The Dental Team registration rate was created to encourage team-based learning. It allows the dentist and their staff to experience the same content together, improving communication, workflow, and implementation when they return to their practice.

Who Qualifies as Dental Team

Eligible team members include:

  • Dental Assistants
  • Dental Hygienists
  • Office Managers
  • Lab Technicians

This rate is not available to licensed dentists, specialists, residents, or dental students.

Course Participation Details

Dental Team members attending the course will receive:

  • Lunch and snacks provided during the course
  • A seat during the lecture portion of the course
  • The opportunity to observe and assist chairside with their attending dentist during hands-on sessions

Dental Team attendees do not perform clinical exercises independently or receive individual hands-on instruction.
Dental Team attendees do not receive CE credit for any part of the course.

Registration Requirements

  • The Dental Team rate is $99 per person for approved courses. Not all courses offer a Dental Team rate.
  • Team members must register for the same course as their attending dentist.
  • The attending dentist must register and pay the full dentist tuition rate.
  • Each registrant must create their own unique login.

Misuse of the Dental Team Rate

The Office of Continuing Education reserves the right to review and verify Dental Team registrations.
If it is found that a licensed dentist has registered under the Dental Team rate, Continuing Education will charge the full dentist tuition rate, and CE credit will not be awarded until the balance is paid in full.
